Beverley Racecourse – 9 Miles Drive

Horse racing at Beverley Racecourse has been a part of Beverley’s history for over 300 years. Set in the stunning surroundings of The Westwood, the racecourse is known for its regular flat horse racing and family-friendly race days. Beverley Racecourse is home to some of the most anticipated horse racing meets in the UK, the Hilary Needler Trophy, Rapid Lad Handicap and Beverley Bullet are all set here. Along with Ladies’ Day, these popular events have helped the racecourse win national recognition.

Whether you’re an enthusiast or casual race-goer, family or couple, they offer a friendly welcome, a unique atmosphere and luxurious facilities. You can sip champagne in the Premier Enclosure, treat yourself to a three course meal or enjoy a picnic right in the heart of the racing action.

York Racecourse – 45 Miles Drive

Known as the Ascot of the North, York Racecourse is set in one of Britain’s flagship heritage destinations and provides a truly memorable place to spend a day horse racing. Claiming its place in history, the Racecourse has been home to horse racing in York for 280 years, but York has hosted horse races since Roman times….2000 years ago!

York Racecourse has award winning modern grandstands, characterful listed buildings, manicured lawns and home grown flowers which sets the scene for the best of race days at York.

Their flagship meeting, the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival, takes place in August each year. It’s the week to visit York for a fabulous four day festival of racing. Other than that, York Racecourse stages 17 race days though out the season, from May until October, all offering a world class horseracing experience for visitors of all ages.
